SUMMARY: Maintain and develop functionality for interfacing with various state and regional data systems. Coordinate customer and state/regional data manager concerns.
Essential duties and responsibilities include development knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • .NET Web Services/WCF and Libraries (Visual Studio)
  • XML technologies (XSL, XSD, XPath)
  • Relational database systems, preferably Oracle, and SQL experience are essential.
  • Code debugging and QA testing utilizing tools such as the built-in browser debuggers, Wireshark, Fiddler, etc.
  • Good software, bug tracking, project documentation skills and experience with source control systems

Optional, but helpful, skills include:

  • ColdFusion
  • NEMSIS
  • Schematron
  • Healthcare or Pre-Hospital experience

This position will primarily work to add custom state/regional data fields, modify export/import web service code, add additional customer reporting tools, coordinate and implement state/regional testing and compliance projects, and other projects utilizing the NEMSIS standard such as CARES, the Cardiac Arrest Registry.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or an associates program with 1-5 years of experience in software development is required. Computer Skills: Requires the ability to use a desktop computer and common office & development productivity suites.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write business reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, and management of organization.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
