2016.11.03 - New Jersey emsCharts NEMSIS 3 Transition Email

From an email that went out to all Software Administrators for services which export to New Jersey November 3rd 2016, followed by an email from October 3rd 2016

Good afternoon New Jersey Software Administrators:

In preparation for the conversion to NEMSIS V3.4 in the state of New Jersey, we have put together a quick start guide. To help you get started configuring your service for NEMSIS v3, if you haven’t already, please go to https://emscharts.atlassian.net/wiki/x/coAtB

Also, it is important to verify your Agency Number (State ID) by logging into your agency, clicking Configuration à Service à Export tab and checking the General, Base, Unit configurations for your agency number.

If you have any questions concerning emsCharts NEMSIS v3, please post a question in our new NEMSIS v3 Forum at: https://www.emscharts.com/fusetalk/categories.cfm?catid=877

We hope to see you at the NJ Statewide Conference on November 16-19th.  I believe we have general emsCharts sessions scheduled for November 17th for those able to attend!

Thank you!

Adam C. Mihlfried / Director, Software Development / emsCharts, Inc.

Good afternoon New Jersey Software Administrators:

Last week you should have received an update from the New Jersey state office similar to the one below. emsCharts is working with the state office and our staff to organize a quick "switch to NEMSIS v3" instruction sheet.  We will start to transition people over around November 2016 with the goal of having everyone exporting NEMSIS v3 prior to the end of the year. The good news is that most of the NEMSIS v2 to NEMSIS v3 work has been done by the emsCharts team already. We have transitioned 5 other states already and have an aggressive schedule as a number of states look to the end of the year as the switchover deadline.

We will send another announcement with some instructions in the weeks ahead.

Thank you!

Adam C. Mihlfried / Director, Software Development / emsCharts, Inc.

Good afternoon,

This email contains important information regarding the transition to the National Emergency Medical Services Information System (NEMSIS) version 3.4.  Our records indicate that you are the ePCR administrator for your agency.

In an effort to remain compliant with NEMSIS requirements, NJ will be transitioning to NEMSIS 3.4 data set by the January 2017.  Therefore, all agencies must be utilizing NEMSIS 3 compliant software and submit NEMSIS 3 data by the end of December 2016.  For questions regarding NEMSIS 3 or to view a list of compliant software, visit:  http://www.nemsis.org/v3/

For Agencies using ImageTrend:  Image Trend Elite is now available.  Agencies can begin migrating to Elite at any time throughout 2016 with the goal of having all agencies live by December 2016.  To begin the process, contact ImageTrend Support directly at: Support@ImageTrend.comOnline training for Image Trend Elite is available through their website.

For Agencies using emsCharts:   Please contact your Software Administrator or visit the emsCharts website for updated information and for the steps needed to complete the transition.

For Agencies using Zoll:  Please work directly with your vendor representative and contact the Office with any questions

For all other agency vendors:  Please have your vendor contact the Office with questions regarding State data and NEMSIS 3.
